Tineodidae - Springbrook Rescue — Uncovering Gondwana

The Hepialoidea are the superfamily of "ghost moths" and "swift moths" comprising more than 650 species in 70 genera. Five families are recognised. They are considered 'primitive', most diverse in the Southern Hemisphere, and together with the small Australian family Lophocoronidae are the likely sister group to the Heteroneura — a group that includes over 99% of all Lepidoptera (>150,000 species).
