Rhipidocerus australasiae Westwood, 1842 (Cerambycidae)

Rhipidocerus australasiae Westwood, 1843 (Cerambycidae, Prioninae, Tragosomini). Alternatively the species classified in the Tribe Meroscelisini. A relatively small species averaging about 20mm body length it is found from NSW to northern Queensland in disjunct populations. This is a female whilst males have strongly flagellate antennae. Flabellate antennae (feather-horned) are really rare in the Cerambycidae, and a green one even rarer.
